Mother Ivey's Bay

I know I'm not alone in feeling that Mother Ivey's Bay is a place definately ingrained in my DNA, so many happy memeories with 4 generations of my family, learnig to swim, the endless hours of rockpooling and then the lying back on that beach and just listening to the sound of the sea- utter bliss!

I wanted to capture that iconic Lifeboat House and rocks in fused glass, to hang on to those memeories for all of us who love MIB until we are back again to enjoy all it has to offer. 

This scene is made using coloured glass for the headland and rocks, stringers of glass and colourded frit (graded pieces of glass) with hand painted glass enamel detail measuring 10x25cm approximately
