Summer Meadow Poppies

Poppies have so many meanings, one as a reminder of summer meadows and gently waving field or corn and another of remembrance for those fallen in conflict.

For me its a mixture of many things. I love its determind fragility, its sudden appearence in forgotten areas of the garden, reminding me of those no longer with us and through those fields of ripe corn and that is what inspired these flowers. 

The poppies come as a set which consits of a poppy stem and the intricatly cut whispy green glass leaf on a stem, with the flower stem measuring approximately 31cm tall with the flower approximately 8x8cm across, the leaf stem approximately 27cm tall and the leaf approximately10cm x 6cm across.
